You’ve probably bookmarked my site, or found a link via pokerdoodle.com or perhaps on a random message board. Maybe you typed in my name in Google after seeing my comic on other people’s blogs. I appreciate the effort you’ve made to look at the cartoons.

So this is supposed to be a daily comic. There are a few days I miss here and there, but that’s the way it goes. I’m not getting paid to do this, and I’m not pursuing any sort of career as a cartoonist, it’s just a great way to keep my brain stimulated. Honestly, I don’t think I could make a living doing it, and I don’t think it would be as fun if I had to.

So keep coming back if there is a reason to. Tell others as well.

So I didn’t make a comic today, but instead worked a bit on this huge painting of a poker game that I have that hangs over my TV. I’ve probably spent 20 hours on the underpainting, and now have started the colors and details in oils on the two figures on the right. At this rate, I’ll probably spend another 40 hours, maybe two a week until I think it’s finished. While I was painting tonight, there was a show on PBS featuring orangutans. I have yet to determine if it was more interesting to watch one paddle a canoe up the shore to get better food, or when Julia Roberts nearly got mauled by another.
